Great day!

Today was REALLY good!!!! First we had orientation until noon and then we went to lunch and I god beef in a bowl! :] then we went to the government towers so we could look out over all of the city and pray over it. That view is incredible, it's 45 floors up and you still can't see the end of tokyo. After the towers we went to do 5-minute english. So half of us did lessons first and the rest PRed and within minutes we had people to talk to. When I got to my spot I just simply asked to God to bring me some divine appointments and within seconds a japanese guy walked up to me. His english was pretty good, sometimes he couldn't understand me but it was all good. Anyways, we talked for about 30 minutes and it turns out that he has some christian friends and he also goes to a christian university! God's ancient work is so evident! He was sooo interested in christianity and he said he thinks that christian beliefs and very right and very true. The only thing holding him back is his family. His family has no religion and they would probably disown him if he chose to be a christian. That's what is so sad here: they are so obsessed with conformity and it's very hard to be unique in Japan. This quote is sooo true here: The nail that sticks up will get hammered down. Anyway, I was able to share the story of Jesus with him along with my testimony and I gave him a gospel of John and a tract that he can read. And he said he would read it and think about it. I got his contack info and so hopefully we will be able to meet up again and discuss more about it! Please pray for my new friend! Pray that God will work in his heart so that he desires to be a christian.

I also met three other girls about my age. And during the lesson I asked them what their favorite book is and one girl said "the Bible!". That was awesome!! Unfortunately they left and I didn't get to talk to them much but I know that God is working in their lives.

Today was really good, but im soooooo tired. Please pray that i can get some rest tonight so I will have energy tomorrow!!!

Love you!

  1. Hi LuLu,
So happy to hear all your news. Sounds like you have hit the ground running, how exciting. Already praying for the people you mentioned. Am praying all around you, about everything I can think of and what G-d lays on my heart. Prompted to pray about emotions...as I think that may be where the enemy of our souls will mess with you? Just remember that he is in Tokyo also, and wants to stick his ugly face in your business. He doesn't waste his limited time on those who are no threat to him. What a delight to know he has to pass it all by Jesus, and HE only allows what will ultimately bring HIM glory and you, growth. What a deal!! You are asleep as I write this, and I am praying that HE is rocking you gently into deep, refreshing, re-creating, re-generating rest. I am thinking of HIM next to your bed watching over you. HE is the ONLY one about whom we should use this word...HE is an AWESOME God.
My verse for you this day: Jeremiah 6.16 "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it and you will find rest for your souls." You are in HIS hands. Looking forward to your next news. Love, Mimi
